Anna Menyhért

Literary historian, critic, writer. Her academic research has been pointing towards trauma theory; she is studying primarily the oeuvres of 20th century women writers through analyzing trauma texts (Speaking the Unspeakable, 2008). The topic of canonization of already forgotten 20th Hungarian female writers is the other field of her interest. At present, she is a research fellow at the Department of Comparative Literature and Cultural Studies, ELTE BTK. So far, she has edited several volumes of essays, a series of books (Újraolvasó, 1997-2001), a journal (Irodalomtudomány, 1999-2000), and organized conferences, symposiums and roundtable-discussions (Rózsaszín szemüveg) dealing with the topic of 20th Hungarian writers.
